Profilo biografico

Michele is the founding Director of the Research Centre for International Relations, where he has been the leader of the Erasmus+ Research Team Challenges to European Small States (2018-2021). He is Rector’s Delegate for International Affairs. He has been appointed to the Board of Governors (2014-2017), and he currently serves for a second term. He is a Life Member of Clare Hall College, Cambridge, and collaborates with the Institute of the Italian Encyclopedia Treccani in Rome. He is also an Associate Professor of History of Political Thought and International Relations at the University of Bologna. He was a PhD scholarship holder of the Graduate School of Historical Studies at San Marino, and he has held visiting fellowships at the University of London (LSE), University of Cambridge, Brown University, University of Queensland and the Bruno Kessler Foundation. He lectured at the universities of Montréal and Milan. He won the Institute of Advanced Studies ISA Topic 2020 prize on ‘The false’. An ambassador in Sarajevo, he is a 5th dan Taekwondo black belt.
